The EcoCraft Skills Guidebook is now available as a central resource that brings clarity, structure and practical direction to the EcoCraft training approach. Developed alongside the eight-module training program, the guidebook supports learners and trainers as they navigate key concepts in sustainable design and craftsmanship, helping them translate ideas into concrete, applicable methods.
The guidebook presents the content of the EcoCraft curriculum in a clear, accessible format. It explains essential themes such as sustainable material choices, eco-friendly production processes, waste reduction strategies and circular thinking in a way that allows readers to grasp both the purpose and the relevance of each topic. Its practical orientation ensures that the information can be meaningfully integrated into design and craft workflows.
For trainers and educators, the guidebook offers a structured foundation for planning and delivering the modules. It outlines suggested learning flows, highlights important concepts and provides guidance on sequencing and adaptation. This supports consistent delivery across different settings and makes it easier for organisations or independent trainers to introduce sustainability-focused content into their programs.
The guidebook also reflects the practical experience gathered during the project’s development. Insights from co-creation work, the pilot training and participant feedback strengthened its pedagogical clarity and the relevance of its examples. As a result, the guidebook functions not only as a reference but as a tool shaped by real-world creative practice and diverse learner needs.
Designed as an open-access resource, the guidebook can be used by creative professionals seeking to develop sustainable methods, by educators incorporating new material into their curricula and by organisations aiming to enhance their environmental awareness. It stands as a key component of the EcoCraft resource collection and invites readers to explore the practical steps they can take toward more responsible creative production.
